West Baldwin United Methodist Church is offering a scholarship to any senior student graduating in the SAD 55 district in June. Applications for the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 123 Scholarship are now available at Sacopee Valley High School and at the Baldwin, Cornish, Hiram, Parsonsfield, and Porter town offices. This scolarship, sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary, is available for High School Graduates from Baldwin, Cornish, Hiram, Parsonsfield, and Porter and is restricted to female students only. Two Maine Schools Crowned Vocabulary Bowl Champions
Sacopee Valley High School earned the top high school honor in Maine, and Wells Junior High School won the middle/elementary category for the state in the Fall 2025 Vocabulary Bowl , the world’s largest academic contest. This is an impressive feat, as this was the biggest season to date, drawing in one million students from 6,000 schools spanning 120 countries!
