Coronavirus Cancelations and Updates

As of March 18, 2020, the closings, cancelations, and updates we are aware of include:


  • SAD55 schools are closed through March. This includes Adult Ed.

  • Soldiers Memorial Library closes when the school is closed so the Library is also closed.

  • The joint program scheduled Saturday, March 28 Tom Parent of Northeastern Forest Fire Protection is canceled.

  • Baldwin Historical Society March meeting canceled

  • Cornish Area Businesses March meeting canceled

  • Spirit Flow Pathways (Cornish) temporarily closing for 2-3 weeks

  • Until further notice, Monday’s Knitting, Wednesday’s Scrabble and Cribbage and Thursday’s Bridge at Bonney Memorial Library will be canceled.

  • Starting tomorrow Tuesday, March 17th and for the next two weeks, Fairgrounds Restaraunt will be take-out only.

  • Tear Cap Workshops & Events canceled through April 1st.

  • Town of Porter Municipal Elections & Town Meeting WILL take place. UPDATE - 3/18/20, 12:50 pm: The Porter Selectboard will meet 3/18/20 at 2:00 to discuss the voting and Town Meeting.

  • Town of Cornish Public Hearing and Special Town Meeting scheduled for April 1, 2020, has been postponed until further notice. Town Hall is open to Cornish residents only.

  • Town of Hiram as of March 17, 2020, the office will be closed to foot traffic.

  • The Local Gear in Cornish, showroom closed. Please call for bike, knives, or supply pickups.
