MaineDOT Preliminary Online Public Meeting for Hiram/Cornish Bridge Reconstruction and Maintenance

Due to COVID-19 precautions, the public hearing to discuss the proposed rehabilitation of the Hiram Bridge and maintenance activities at the Little River Bridge will be conducted online.


Access to the on-demand public meeting is available through the project website at www.maine.gov/mdot/vpl/. After viewing the meeting materials, there is an opportunity for public comment.


MaineDOT will have an online presentation available that will act as the preliminary public meeting. This presentation will be to give information of the proposed rehabilitation of the Hiram Bridge located over the Ossipee River on Bridge Street/River Road at the Cornish/Hiram town line. The presentation will also discuss maintenance activities to be conducted at the Little River Bridge on Route 25 in Cornish.


The Department is conducting the public meeting for the purpose of informing the public and inviting public comments and is particularly interested in learning local views, discovering local resources, and identifying local concerns and issues. Anyone with an interest is invited to view the presentation at the above website and provide comments.


MaineDOT invites and encourages you to review the website and share your thoughts on this project. The presentation will be available for public comments until December 14, 2020.
