Hiram Public Hearing 2/20/19

On Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at 7:00 PM, the Hiram, Maine Planning Board will hold a Public Hearing to discuss the proposed State mandated, Shoreland Zoning Ordinance for Hiram. The Hearing will be held at the Hiram Town Office. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.

The proposed ordinance is available for review at the town office during regular business hours.

A public hearing was held on August 22, 2018 and a Special Town Meeting was also held on September 13, 2018 to vote on the Shoreland Zoning Ordinance. Shortly before the town meeting, the Planning Board discovered that there were still sections in the Shoreland Zoning Ordinance which needed to be removed or edited, according to DEP, and could not be approved at that time, so the article was defeated. Therefore, the Town is holding another public hearing and will be voting on the proposed changes at the Annual Town Meeting, March 2, 2019.

If unable to attend, you may send your comments or concerns to:

Town of Hiram, Attn: Planning Board, 25 Allard Circle, Hiram, ME 04041.
