Graphite to Pigment Art Show 5/30/19 at Bonney Memorial Library

Updated: Jul 18, 2020

Thanks to a grant from the Maine Public Library Foundation, Bonney Memorial Library was recently able to offer a 10-week art class for teen artists called "Graphite to Pigment".

On May 30, 2019 from 4:00PM - 6:00 PM there will be an opening event to kick off the 2 week exhibit where the 10 students will be displaying their art at the library.

The 10-week program was headed by local illustrator and artist, Heather Newman,

who has also offered art classes for adults. She was quick to point out that she didn't do it alone. In addition to the support by the Library Director, Cheryl Heavey, Heather also enlisted the help of two other local artists.

"I would like to say Thank you to Corey Oates of Sowing Oats and Natalie Beittel of Hosac Farm, two talented local artists who generously donated their time to share their knowledge and experience with the class. " - Heather

You can check out the art exhibit from May 30 until June 13, 2019.
