8/26 Hiram Historical Society Program, The Brushians, via Zoom

Hiram Historical Society had to cancel our ambitious programs to celebrate in 2020, the Maine State Bicentennial with historical house tours, and theatrical performances. But we are here, and we present, via Zoom, one of our scheduled programs, Doug Noble's slide show of The Brushians, a renowned 19th-century landscape artists' group in the Portland area, which included famed architect John Calvin Stevens. Doug presents a snapshot of each of the Brushians, their lives, their day jobs, their paintings, and their friends, which included one woman artist.

The presentation, which will be on Wednesday, August 26, 2020, at 7:00 p.m., will last 45 minutes to one hour with an opportunity for audience questions at the end.

Email gardenlit@gmail.com to RSVP to receive the Brushians meeting code and password to attend this program.

We miss you and hope you will join us in attending this first public program since COVID-19 lock-down.

Sally Willams, President, Hiram Historical Society
