7/27 Baldwin Public Hearing

The Town of Baldwin will hold a Public Hearing at the Town Office, 534 Pequawket Trail, West Baldwin, on Tuesday, July 26, 2021, at 6:00 p.m.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss and receive comments from the public on the following articles:

  • Article 2. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate $80,000 from the undesignated fund balance to be used to reduce the tax commitment for 2021.

  • Article 3. To see if the Town favors a change in the Town's fiscal year from the current January 1 to December 31 fiscal year to a July 1 to June 30 fiscal year, in order for the Town's fiscal year to be concurrent with that of the SAD 55 school district and the State of Maine. This vote is a non-binding advisory vote designed to assist the Baldwin select board in exercising its authority to change the fiscal year pursuant to 30-A M.R.S.A 5651. This proposed change is to allow the Town to issue bi-annual tax bills as approved by the voters at the 2019 town meeting.
