7/11 Parade in Hiram Honoring Howard Forsythe's 100th Birthday

Updated: Jul 18, 2020

Howard Forsythe will be 100 years old on Saturday, July 11, 2020. Donna and Darryl Ward are organizing a birthday parade for Howie Forsythe on Saturday, July 11, 2020. Line up will be at 9:00 a.m. at Hiram Fire Station on Schoolhouse Road off Main Street.

The parade will go up Main Street to Sebago Road, then turn right onto Hancock Ave to drive by Howie's at 25 Hancock Ave.

Howard's wife Helen died a few years ago, but one of Helen's nieces and her son from Barrington, NH are going to come up after work on Thursday. For his birthday, they plan to put out 100 small American flags on Howie’s lawn so when he gets up on his birthday he will be greeted by all the flags. Howie is a Veteran, is the oldest person in Hiram, and holds the Boston Post Cane pin, awarded when he was 95.

If you want to send a birthday card, address it to Howard Forsythe, PO Box 98, Hiram, ME 04041.
