To Porter Residents: The Town office is currently closed to all foot traffic until further notice.Town Voting and Town Meeting are postponed until a date yet to be determined.
 

INFORMATION REGARDING CORONAVIRUS AKA COVID-19As the world-wide coronavirus outbreak continues to dominate our news each day, we know this may be a source of growing concern for you and your family.

 We decided as of March 18, 2020 that the office will be closed to foot traffic. Our staff will continue to work normal hours to assist you via the phone and email.Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.

 We are still here to assist you in any way we can. We are keeping our website (www.portermaine.org) up to date in these rapidly changing circumstances.

The new legislative measures that were adopted on March 17, 2020 extends registrations for motor vehicles, trailers, ATV’s, and boats for 30 days after the end of the public health emergency. (Date to be Determined) Meaning if your registration has or is expiring you can continue to use the vehicle legally, you have 30 days once the current emergency is lifted to get the vehicle registered. This covers any new vehicles purchased at a dealer displaying a temporary plate. If you have a new vehicle which was not purchased at a dealer that needs to be registered please contact the office at (207) 625-8344 and we will work something out to get your vehicle registered.

All Board and Committee meetings are currently cancelled.

We are currently keeping in close contact with both our Health Officer and our Emergency Management Director and will monitor this situation closely.
