Dog licenses are due by Saturday, January 1, 2022, for all dogs 6 months and older. Please bring current Maine rabies and neuter/spay certificate, if applicable. As of January 31, 2022, there will be a $25 late fee. It is illegal for dogs, licensed or unlicensed, to run at large.
Hunting and fishing licenses are now available for 2022.
Deadline for budget requests, warrant articles, and reports for the annual Town report are due at the Town Clerk's Office no later than 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2021. Absolutely no requests or articles will be accepted after that date.
The Budget Committee Meeting will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. at the Porter Town Hall.
Please take note, parking any vehicle within a plowed right-of-way during snow removal is prohibited by State law. Such vehicles will be towed at owner's expense.
Nomination papers will be available on Friday, December 3, 2021, for the following:
Selectmen, Assessor, Overseer of the Poor - 3-year term
Director of MSAD #55 (1 position) - 3-year term
Planning Board Member (2 positions) - 3-year terms
Road Commissioner (1 position) - 3 year term
Nomination papers are due back at the Town Clerk's Office no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 4, 2021.
