Thanksgiving in the Valley

The holidays are just about here, and we've been drooling over recipes for sweet potato pie and cranberry apple pandowdy. Whether you're a local, a transplant, or still "from away", you're probably thinking about what you'll be doing and where you'll be enjoying a delicious Thanksgiving meal. If traveling isn't on the agenda, check out some of these great community dinners, events, and volunteer opportunities.

Remember to visit a senior neighbor, or invite them along with you this holiday season!

Free Thanksgiving Dinner, November 16, 2018. (call ahead due to the storm!)

Time: 4:30pm-6:00pm

Location: West Baldwin United Methodist Church, Route 113

Takeout is available.

Menu includes turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, vegetables, cranberry sauce, rolls, and pies and beverages.


Brownfield Volunteer Fire Department

Thanksgiving Dinner, November 17, 2018 Donations only

Time: 4:00pm - 7:00pm

Location: Community Center, 90 Main Street, Brownfield, ME.

North Baldwin Baptist Church

Free Thanksgiving Dinner, November 18, 2018

Time: 12:00 Noon

Location: North Baldwin Baptist Church, Cram Road


Sacopee Valley Health Center

Free Thanksgiving Dinner, November 22, 2018.

Time: 12:30pm - a second seating will be at 1:15PM if needed.

Location: Sacopee Valley Health Center 49 Summer Street, Porter, ME.

Dinner will be in the white building behind the main parking lot.

Dinner will include turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, butternut squash, cranberry sauce, rolls, and dessert.
