Dog licenses, rabies clinic, and, of course, pictures with Santa

Updated: Jul 18, 2020

Every year by law, towns require you to register your dog if it is over 6 months old. The deadline in Porter, and Cornish, Maine, is February 1, 2019, after which a $25 fee will be added. It’s a simple process to register your pup, and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, as long as you register your dog before the deadline. There are only a few things you need to bring with you including the fee, Spay/Neuter Certificate is applicable, and a current Maine Rabies Certificate.

Rabies Clinic

If you aren’t able to bring your dog or cat in to see your regular vet, or you are simply looking for an affordable option, check out a local Rabies Clinics.

The Towns of Cornish and Parsonsfield are sponsoring a rabies clinic for dogs & cats on Saturday, December 8, 2018, from 10:00 AM until noon. It will be held at the Parsonsfield Town Office (on Rt. 160, 634 North Rd., Parsonsfield).

The costs is $12 and cash is due at the time of vaccination. Please bring your previous vaccination record if you would like your pet to receive a 3 year vaccine. If the previous certificate is not available, a 1 year vaccine will be administered.
