Over the course of the grand opening weekend, January 17th-18th, 2026, local residents, nearby neighbors, and visitors from across Southern Maine came out to welcome Parsonsfield’s first-ever licensed cannabis dispensary.

The celebration included a ribbon cutting with town supporters, steady foot traffic throughout the day, and a warm, small-town atmosphere that reflected just how invested the community is in seeing locally operated businesses succeed.
As Co-Founder & COO Brendan McKee shared to wrap up the grand opening weekend:
“What stood out most this weekend was the types of conversations. People came in curious, thoughtful, and genuinely proud that Parsonsfield is approaching cannabis retail the right way. We’re incredibly grateful for the trust the town has placed in us, and we take that responsibility seriously. Our goal is to be a business that listens, contributes, and grows alongside this community for years to come.”

Silver Cannabis Company's opening marks a milestone under Parsonsfield’s limited-license framework and brings locally hired jobs, Maine-made products, and a wellness- and education-first retail experience to the area. For many attendees, the weekend felt less like a retail launch and more like a community gathering with neighbors reconnecting, questions being answered, and a new chapter beginning for the town.
