Newfield, Maine residents are encouraged to attend a public hearing on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at 7:00PM at the Newfield Town Hall in regard to the proposed "Local Food and Community Self-Governance Ordinance*".
The snow date for this hearing is Thursday, February 7, 2019, at 7:00PM.
*Maine has a law called LD725. It allows towns to regulate local food production, without requiring state and federal rules. This is where the Local Food Ordinance comes in to play.
