Mondays in October: Clay & Wine Workshop at Denmark Arts Center

Updated: Jul 18, 2020

On Mondays, starting October 7, and running through October 28, 2019, at 5:30 p.m., Denmark Arts Center presents Clay and Wine Workshop Series.

The Clay and Wine workshop will be a series of four evenings, taught by Kathy Banks, a thirty-year veteran of pottery instruction.

The Clay and Wine series includes all materials, including clay and glazes, two kiln firings, and includes two tickets for in-house beverage.

The Clay class is good for beginners AND advance potters. You will be working with high-fired stoneware clay, exploring forms, texture, clay bodies, and hand-building. Stoneware clay is a great product as it is microwavable, dishwasher-safe, and durable!

Class dates are Mondays, October 7, 14, 21, and 28. Workshops will start promptly at 5:30 p.m. and ending around 7:30 p.m. Learn about clay and the processes of firing and glazing in a relaxed, supportive environment. Come with ideas and an open-mind and leave with your own original piece (or two or three) of pottery.

Materials are donated by their sponsors: Laguna Clay and Dick Blick Art Supplies.

The Clay & Wine Workshop series is $90 for four classes, all materials included. One can register online at denmarkarts.org/events or call (207) 452-2412.

The Denmark Arts Center is located at 50 West Main Street (Rte. 160) in the beautiful hamlet of Denmark, only 30 minutes from North Conway, New Hampshire and one hour from Portland and Lewiston, Maine.
