Head over to Porter and watch 2 free movies this Saturday, December 15, 2018. Kezar Falls Theater will be showing A Charlie Brown's Christmas, and Jim Henson's, Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas. The show starts at 4:30 PM so be sure to arrive a few minutes early to settle in to your seat. There are 170 of them, so bring the whole family!

If you've yet to check out the renovated theater, this is a great opportunity. The historic landmark was built in 1880 and is now the home of Smooth Feather Productions where they offer a recording studio, editing rooms, and filmmaker workshops. Silas Hagerty and his loyal crew also run a non-profit organization called Smooth Feather Youth which offers Smooth Feather Film-school as well as Smooth Feather Excursions, an after-school adventure program.

"Smooth Feather Youth is a 501(c)(3) non-profit with the mission to support activities for youth in our community where participants can learn from one another, discover new possibilities for their lives, and use their individual and collective creativity to explore positive change."

If you have a few minutes, check out their film Pets on Parade, a tale of a young boy with a crush, and a race which requires determination, as well a little help from some recognizable locals. And, if you don't have a few minutes now, come back later to check it out. You'll be glad you did!
