York County Elder Abuse Task Force will be holding a free Elder Abuse Workshop on Monday, September 23, 2019, from 4:00 p.m - 6:00 p.m. at Bonney Memorial Library in Cornish.
Come to an informative interactive workshop that will equip you to recognize and respond to elder abuse in our community! The York County Elder Abuse Task Force and Caring Unlimited will present about how to recognize signs of abuse, including physical, emotional, and financial indicators that something isn’t right.
As the oldest state in the nation, it is crucial that Mainers learn about local resources and how to get help for yourself or a loved one! Please preregister at www.sacopee.maineadulted.org as a minimum of 10 people are needed to run the course.
The York County Elder Abuse Task Force, established in 2005, is a group of committed professionals from many fields, including law enforcement, social services, and legal services for the elderly and financial institutions. They come together to share their knowledge and skills, to serve as a resource to educate the public about elder abuse, and ultimately eliminate it as a problem in York county.
