9/21/19 Constitution and Civic Duties 101 with Jeremy Miller

On Saturday, September 21, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at Bonney Memorial Library in Cornish, Sacopee Valley Adult and Community Education will be holding a class: Constitution and Civic Duties 101 with Jeremy Miller.

A brief introduction to the Constitution. Learn the fundamentals and facts of the Constitution and its importance to liberty and what it protects. As Thomas Jefferson said, “Above all things I hope the education of the common people will be attended to, convinced that on their good sense we may rely with the most security for the preservation of a due degree of liberty.”

There will be a brief question and answer session following the class.

Why is it so important for us to know our Constitution? If you don't know what the Constitution says, how do you know if your elected officials are abiding by it and following it? How will you know if your freedoms are being lost?

The fee to attend this class is $7. Please preregister at www.sacopee.maineadulted.org or call (207) 625-3092 as a minimum of 4 people are needed to run the course.
