7/7/19 GMCG Environmental Film Series - Free Solo

Green Mountain Conservation Group (GMCG) welcomes the public to celebrate summer on the

Ossipee River with its free and educational film series every Tuesday evening in July.

The next film in the series will be Free Solo: a suspenseful sports documentary from 2018 about professional climber Alex Honnold and his attempts to conquer the first free solo climb of famed 900-metre vertical rock face at Yosemite National Park.

Films in this series are meant to build an awareness and appreciation for the natural world and inspire people to become stewards of natural resources and take action in their community.

All film events will be family-friendly and free, with films starting at dusk - please plan to arrive at 7:30 p.m. for parking, seating and raffle sign up. There will be free popcorn and fun raffles each week with prizes for attendees, and everyone is welcome to enjoy the trails and river before the films (bring a fishing pole and tackle, no swimming allowed). Visit gmcg.org for more details and film trailers.
