7/17 Fryeburg Area Democrats Organizational Meeting

All Fryeburg-area Democrats are invited to attend an informational and organizing meeting at the Fryeburg Fairgrounds on Thursday, July 17, 2025, beginning at 4:00 p.m. Democrats from the surrounding towns of Brownfield, Denmark, Sweden, Lovell, Stow, Hiram, Porter, and Stoneham are all invited.
“Now is the time for all local Democrats to be active, be informed, be heard, and, most of all, be a part of making a difference,” says Bruce Bryant, chair of Oxford County Democrats, who is helping to put together a Fryeburg region Democrat organization.
Those attending will have the opportunity to meet Democratic Candidate for the U.S. Senate, David Costello. He is running to be the Democratic nominee to go up against Republican Senator Susan Collins in the 2026 Senate elections. His goal is to help in ending the Trump Administration and GOP Congress's assault on our values, democracy, and environment.
There will also be information discussed about the candidates and/or potential candidates for state House seats 81 and 82 and also for Oxford County’s state Senate seat currently held by Republican Rick Bennett, who is now running to be governor of Maine.
Organizational items on the agenda Include electing a chair, vice chair, and secretary as well as forming events and communications committees.
To get to the meeting at the Fryeburg Fairgrounds, take Swan’s Falls Road off Route 5 (on left if coming from the south, on right if from the north). Enter fairgrounds through Swan’s Falls Gate (second right) and drive to back side of Barns 15 and 16. Park anywhere. Bring a chair if
