6/13 Free Live Boxing and Sparring Event

Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., join Backwoods Boxing at the Brownfield Community Center, 90 Main Street, Brownfield, for a free live boxing and sparring event. Donations are encouraged and greatly appreciated. Every donation goes directly back into the program to help provide free scholarships for students, equipment for athletes, and funding toward a full boxing ring.

Backwoods Boxing is the newest boxing and kickboxing gym serving the greater MWV and Lake Region area, and they’re excited to invite the community to a FREE live sparring event featuring an incredible lineup of talent! This is a rare chance to see fighters you’d normally pay to watch while supporting local youth and combat sports in the community.

Over the past 6 weeks, their team has been working hard, and this event is all about bringing the community together and showcasing what they’ve been building. Watch live sparring from professional boxers, pro MMA fighters, BKFC fighters, and amateur boxers. Fighters of all ages will be demonstrating skills.

The lineup will include:

• Liam Harriman, Backwoods head coach, pro boxer 3-1, 2 KO's

• Ras Hylton, pro MMA 10-8, pro bare knuckle 1-0

• Drion Clachar, 2k New England champ 10-1

• David Burke, pro MMA, pro bare knuckle 1-1, 1KO

• Gabe Dale, Backwoods boxing 1st fighter

Be sure to stick around for photos and autographs with fighters after the event, as well as food and bonus activities for families and kids.
