4/3 Graham Platner Joins Local Candidates at Fryeburg Meet & Greet

U.S. Senate Candidate Graham Platner will be joining Democratic candidates up and down the ballot as the Fryeburg Democrats host a Meet the Candidates event on Friday, April 3, 2026, in the gymnasium at Molly Ockett Middle School at 25 Molly Ockett Drive, off route 302. Doors will open at 3:30 p.m. with the event slated to begin at 4:00 p.m.

With the Maine state primaries coming up on June 9, this event is designed to be an opportunity to meet candidates and hear from them directly.

“We are looking forward to the June 9th municipal and primary elections,” said Dan Kaschub, select board candidate. “We will be providing opportunities to hear from many great local candidates and encourage voters to tune in and vote for every office on the ballot.”

Platner, from Sullivan, Maine, is running for the U.S. Senate “to defeat Susan Collins and win back the seat for working Mainers” as it says on his official website.

Joining Platner at the Town Hall will be Savannah Sessions, Oxford County Treasurer candidate; Beth Bosworth, Maine Senate District 18 candidate; and Chris Lewey, Maine House Representative 82 Candidate.

Lifelong Oxford County resident Savannah Sessions says she plans to bring a community-focused approach to managing the county’s finances. Her professional background is working in data analytics and project management, managing complex reporting and information systems.

Fryeburg resident Beth Bosworth is a longtime educator and current chair of the MSAD 72 School Board. Her campaign is centered on strengthening public schools, lowering costs for working families, and protecting the healthcare and infrastructure that sustains towns across Western Maine.

Lewey, also a Fryeburg resident, is the Executive Director and Founder of RAVEN Interpretive Programs. He is running to provide solutions shaped locally, and for progress that’s measured not in headlines, but in how people are actually doing.

Sign up here to attend the April 3 town hall. There are many candidates running for various offices for the state and nationally.
