2021 Hiram Historical Calendars Available Online

Hiram, Maine - The Hiram Historical Society's 2021 Calendars of Antique Cars are ready and they are all delicious plums!

Del Gilpatricak put his special cars in and helped us with it, even when worried sick about his beautiful wife's illness. Cliff Whitney let us photograph his gems, too, as did Eric Noble. One scene we'll not forget is a scene of the past - the Royal Rangers piled onto Don Archer's Midget King, the lowest cost car in the world, during Hiram's Sesquicentennial parade celebrations in 1964. Just to prove they all work, one friend arranged a "ride of joy" with three Morgans to Acadia (see December). What better way to end a year, though we might all wish to erase this one!

The calendar is in full vibrant color, even the trucks, except for the autos new at the time (1920s) in Great Ossipee Museum's collection.
Altogether the calendar contains some 34 photos.

The calendar is available at Four Corners Store and Soldiers Memorial Library in the Village, and the Town Office in South Hiram, or via the HHS website www.hiramhistorlcalsociety.org.

It retails for $20 and 100% of the proceeds benefits Hiram Historical Society.

Thank you for purchasing one (or two!) for your family's and your enjoyment and edification, and perhaps a pleasant surprise.

- Sally Williams, Hiram Historical Society
